The Kell Longhorns hosted region opponent East Paulding at home Friday night. The Longhorns completely dominated the game with a final score of 45-0.
The Longhorns scored early with a touchdown from junior Jamal Hill shuffling and spinning his defender. With the score 7-0, the Raiders faced a fourth down, but Longhorn defender, Lavaghn Dabney, blocked the punt on the 40-yard line.
Freshman running back beast, David Johnson, trotted into the in zone plenty of times to stack up the score for the Longhorns, including the second touchdown which resulted in a 14-0 game.
Kell’s defensive front put tremendous amounts of pressure on East Paulding’s offensive line throughout the game, causing four turnovers which converted into points for the Longhorns. Efforts by OLB Nathanial Woghiren, OLB Branson Hall and S Bo Benicosa kept the Raiders from ever seeing the end zone. The Raiders could not gain any momentum and were kept off-balance the entire game.
Kell has a bye week then takes on Paulding County High School, on October 4th at home for another conference showdown.
