On Saturday morning, September 7, 2019, Cobb County’s High School Cross Country teams converged on Allatoona Creek Park for an epic all-county race. The weather was perfect for a morning run (or four). And the runners didn’t disappoint the huge crowd of parents, students, and fans either. The event was hosted by the Walton XC team and they did a great job.
The overall team winner for the JV Girls was Harrison HS, with Walton finishing two points in second place. Hillgrove, Campbell, and Allatoona finished third, fourth, and fifth, respectively.
The team winner for the JV Boys was Walton, with Pope coming in second. Harrison, Campbell, and Hillgrove finished third, fourth, and fifth.
For the Varsity Girls, Hillgrove won the overall team title, with Harrison in second. Marietta, Walton, and Pope rounded out the rest of the top five.
The Varsity Boys team title was taken by Harrison, with Marietta taking the runner-up position. Walton, Pope, and Hillgrove took third, fourth, and fifth.
Congratulations to all of the individual and team winners. (Individual winners are listed below.) All of you made Cobb County proud!
